Is it a boy?

Just for fun, Daniela and I bought a gender prediction test at the pharmacy and decided to try it out.  It measures levels of DNA first thing in the morning and says it can predict the gender of the baby with 80 to 90% accuracy.  Well...the result said the new shug is a boy!  I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks for the sonogram to see if the test is the real deal...

Roller Coaster Stunts...

J is already up to his old tricks and doing stunts.  It only took a couple hours...

Batter Up...

A Ride Down the Coaster...

Merry Christmas!

Here's a couple xmas shots and the link to our Christmas album.

Early Xmas Eve...

Bella and London aren't going to be able to make it to the xmas eve shindig tonight.  So we went to see them this morning so they could get their presents from the fam...

Santa is in town...

We heard that Santa was at the Waterford Lakes festival all week.  So instead of trying to catch him at the mall, we made our way over and got to meet him with absolutely no lines!  J wasn't too thrilled, however.  He didn't cry, but definitely had other things he would have rather been doing...

Breakfast a la Lopez...

Breakfast was prepared by Rick this morning at casa de Lopez.

Hector was trying to determine whose fee smell worse, his or J's

Deck The Halls...

We stopped by Barnes and Noble on Saturday to see Lexi sing with her school choir.  We didn't get the greatest seat in the house to be able to see the play going on down below, but it just so happened that we ended up right in the toy section so J had a blast...

Giddyup...

Horseback rides are one of J's favorite new things.  Someone give mommy some grass to eat!

The circus is in town...

We picked up this vintage toy chest on Craigslist today that looks like a circus cart.  We think it's awesome and love it.  I was sick and tired of having our living room look like a tornado had just ripped through here, so we needed something for J's toys.  At first he was not happy that all of his stuff was in there, but he soon realized that he could easily pull them all out again...

Shug Kisses...

Laundry Ride...

Here is J's new favorite toy, at least for this week.  It's amazing what keeps his attention.  The most mundane things can keep him entertained for hours...

July Baby...

Daniela had her first doc appointment today. She decided to go back to Dr. B. We were going to switch because of our whole swine flu epidemic that happened at Winnie Palmer last time. She wanted to try to find a doc with another hospital affiliation, but in the end Dr. B was great last time around so she decided to stick with him.

Her due date is currently July 22nd, but that could get adjusted slightly after her first sonogram. Aunt Tiffany's bday is in July, so it looks like she's going to have to share her month!

Family Traditions...

I can remember on Christmas morning my sister and I would wake up extra early and run out to the living room to see what was under the tree.  We couldn't wait to open our presents, so we would go in and wake up mom and dad so that we could get started.  Unfortunately, my dad would take his time getting showered and dressed before coming out and letting us start tearing open paper.  Luckily, my mom would fill our stockings with plenty of stuff to keep us occupied until dad came strolling out...

'Tis The Season...

Our favorite time of the year is here.  We got our tree and decorations put up this evening.  And we made the trip again this year to Hallmark to get J another ornament...

Dear Santa:

Mommy & Daddy said that if I was good throughout the year and if I send you a letter, I might be lucky enough to get something from you for Christmas.  Well, I know I’ve gotten into a little bit of trouble throughout the year, but I’m pretty sure my cuteness makes up for that.  Here are a few things that I have had my eye on this year in case you and your reindeer are in my neck of the woods on Xmas Eve.

  •  Football Slippers (smallest size) – Daddy seems a little distracted on Sundays, so these might grab his attention.
  • Dinosaur Slippers (smallest size) – These even eyes that light up when I walk!
  • Nightwear (18-24 months) – I love seeing mommy’s face when I get dressed up in a new pair of PJs.  She gets so excited that it makes me laugh.  Staying warm and cozy at night doesn’t hurt either.
  • Clothes (18-24 months) – I can always use some new threads!
  • Taggies Football Blanket - There's just something about tags hanging off of things that I can't resist!  I don't know if it's because I can't seem to figure out how to tear them off or because they are too fun to play with.  But this blanket should quickly become my favorite!
  • Yookidoo Flow 'N' Fill Spout - I love bath time!  This looks really cool and will keep me busy in the bath.
  • Spin Around - Now this looks like a blast!  Daddy tells me that this is old school.  But it still looks great none the less.  And the internet says that it helps promote muscle growth and and coordination too!
  • Fisher-Price Baseball - This should help me train for my big sports career that's coming up...
  • Silly Sam the Talking Broom - I get so upset when Mommy and Daddy won't let me play with the broom when they are cleaning.  It looks like so much fun!  Well this will give me my own broom to play with.  I might even pitch in and help clean once in a while...
  • Safety gate – I have gotten really good at climbing the stairs!  I can fly up and down them really fast now.  But Mommy and Daddy get nervous when I’m at the top.  I keep telling them that I know what I’m doing, but they say they are still worried I’m going to fall down the stairs.  This might finally get them to chill out a little.
  • Gift cards – Mommy and Daddy are always taking me shopping.  I’m sure they could find something to buy me with a gift card!
  • Cash – What kid doesn’t like money?  Mommy and Daddy opened a bank account for me and have been tucking some dinero away for me.  They said I can’t use any of it until I get older though (bummer).

See you soon,
J

p.s.  If the milk and cookies I am going to leave out for you are missing, it was probably Mommy...

Quack-Quack...

After lunch we went for a walk at Lake Eola.  Daniela and J both got to feed some ducks & swans for the first time.  I'm not sure who had more fun, Daniela or shug.  She was bummed out because we didn't have enough bread, so I guess we're going back again next weekend...

Test Results Are In...

And we got an A++.  We went the fool-proof way and just got a digital test that has zero room for error while trying to decipher the results.  The small digital screen says it all.  So it's official, we're going to have another Shug!

Chapter 2?

Daniela still isn't sure because one of the lines are faint so she wants another test.  But the vertical line is the one that counts.  So I say it's done!

Final Approach...

Saw this bib online today and thought it was hilarious.  Working runway lights with airplane spoon.  Had to have it so it's on the way...

Laughter Is An Instant Vacation...

The Summit...

It's official, J can now climb up and down from the couch, coffee table, and who knows where else all by himself unassisted.  His evenings are spent pulling himself up, sliding down, then running a lap around the living room before climbing right back up again.  I wonder how long before he learns how to jump off?

Room To Grow...

Art At The Park...

We went with Tiffany, Lexi and Eric this morning to an art festival at Lake Eola.  The weather was awesome, 60º and breezy!  J even got to chase after some ducks.  This time of year is great!

Eric got distracted and stepped in a pile of dog crap!  lol

Let's Have a Peek...
